Pittsburg Cookie Grazing Table - $10.00 per person
The cookie table is a delightful wedding tradition that goes beyond the wedding cake. Originating from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and equally popular in Youngstown, Ohio, this tradition entails arranging a large table laden with a variety of homemade cookies for guests to savor during the wedding reception. This sweet Custom is said to have its roots in the Great Depression of the 1930s. During this challenging time, European immigrants settled in Pittsburgh and Youngstown, bringing their cherished traditions with them. In preparation for the wedding, families would bake a variety of cookies, demonstrating their love and hospitality. These cookies were then arranged on an elegant table at the wedding reception, offering a charming array for the guests to enjoy.
